"Battlefield of the Mind" changed my life.

This is my "well-used" copy that changed my life. When I first picked up 'Battlefield of the Mind' by Joyce Meyer, I was a in a dark place. After years of living away from my faith, I was utterly broken. Growing up in the church, I knew the teachings, but life had taken me on a wild ride. It was while reading this book that I learned I could actually choose my thoughts! This hit me like a ton of bricks. I had spent so long allowing negative thoughts to run rampant in my mind, and here was Joyce, telling me that I didn't have to!

This book was not an easy read for me spiritually, it took me a year and a half to get through it! However, this wasn't about reading, during this time God was working in me a great transformation. In this time each chapter felt like a God hug. I started to understand the importance of renewing my mind and aligning my thoughts with faith. I remember my eyes popping out of my head... that I didn't have to be a slave to my thoughts! The poisonous effects of fear and anxiety began to lose their grip on me.

As I read through the pages, I learned techniques to combat those toxic patterns I had let invade my mind. No more fear feasts in my head! With Joyce's insightful guidance and relatable experiences, I began to build a resilient mindset. The concepts introduced to me in 'Battlefield of the Mind' were huge in my journey back to Jesus. I returned to church, reintegrated into the community, and most importantly, shifted how I lived my everyday life.

Reflecting on my journey, I never expected a book to have such a profound impact on my life. Maybe your not either. But if you're looking for a spark to reignite your faith and need help with your thoughts, I couldn't more highly recommend 'Battlefield of the Mind.'
