I started drinking bone broth a few years back. I make it, buy liquid form, and even the powder version. I prefer from first to last. But all three are a great option! I tried it to help with joint pain and plantar faciitis. And I know it has helped!
Nutritional Powerhouse
The advantage of drinking bone broth is its loaded with nutrients. It contains collagen, gelatin, amino acids, and important minerals like calcium and magnesium. This combination works to support skin, hair, and nail health. The collagen found in bone broth can help maintain the skin's elasticity and hydration, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. So drink up ladies!
Gut Health and Beyond
Another benefit of sipping bone broth is its impact on gut health. The glycine and glutamine found in bone broth are known to heal and seal the gut lining. A healthy gut is essential for nutrient absorption and can also play a role in mood regulation. I don't know about you but I am never moody- just don't ask my husband!
Boosting Joint Health
As women age, maintaining joint health becomes increasingly important. Bone broth is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can provide relief for joints and help prevent conditions like arthritis. The glucosamine and chondroitin found in bone broth support joint function and mobility. Something that is very important to me- I am always on the go!
Immune Support
Bone broth can help bolster your body’s defenses. Rich in minerals and amino acids, it can help to fight off infections and illnesses. And we all know- mom's aren't allowed to get sick!
Get Started
Incorporating bone broth into your daily routine is simple! You can enjoy it warm as a drink or use it as a base for soups, stews, and sauces. Almost every grocery store has ready-made bone broth, but making it at home is cheap, easy, and allows you to control the ingredients. Just simmer some bones and connective tissue, a tiny amount of apple cider vinegar to help draw the nutrients, and add herbs and vegetables. Let it cook for several hours. I use my insta pot... well the cheaper version of it!
